Dear Mustang Families,
Students will participate in the safety assembly presented by LAPD Safety Officers on Monday, 11/18. They will learn about cyberbullying, stranger danger, proper crosswalk usage, pedestrian safety, drug awareness, bullying prevention, and emergency procedures.
K-5 Students will take the Middle of Year Assessments in English Language Arts and Math starting Monday, 11/18. All students must take these assessments to measure their progress.
Our Local School Leadership Committee (LSLC) meeting is on Tuesday, 11/19 at 2:40pm in Rm. 8. All are welcome to attend.
Fall picture make-up day is on Wednesday, 11/20 for only one hour in the morning from 8:00am – 9:00am. If they missed the fall picture day in October, this is the only opportunity for them to take it.
PTA student stores are on Wednesday, 11/20 for UTK-2 students and Thursday, 11/21 for Gr. 3-5 students at recess and lunch.
School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Council meetings are on Thursday, 11/21 at 2:40pm and 3:10pm respectively. All are welcome to participate either online or in-person. Please see the attached agenda.
Students will participate in the fire drill on Thursday, 11/21 at 8:30am.
Attendance is very important to your students. Please do not schedule any family vacations or events before and after long weekends or winter break. All students are expected to be in school every day. On that note, the student council will host fun Thanksgiving games, such as Turkey Waddle, Turkey Baster Relay, Traffic Yam, Pin the Feather on the Turkey, etc. on Friday, 11/22 during lunch. All students will also get a surprise gift. Don’t miss this fun day!
